Hot Volunteer Opportunities
Meals on Wheels Volunteers of Catholic Charities (formerly called "Mobile Meals")
The Saint James Food Pantry needs more people willing to pick up food from the Highland Park Jewel, drive it in their own car and unload it to the Saint James Food Pantry at 140 North Ave, Highwood.
Schedule would be 8-9 a.m. on either Monday or Thursday morning once or twice a month.
MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY OF SERVICE
Everyone is invited to join the day of service to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. The free event will include fun, meaningful projects to benefit homeless shelters, food pantries, veterans and soldiers, projects to help the poor in other countries of the world, pet projects and many more! Secretary of State Jesse White and the Jesse White Tumblers will perform.
There are three ways to be involved: host a project at a table, volunteer or attend and participate. Americorp and Vista members are welcome to call to volunteer.

The Auxiliary of NorthShore University Health System at Highland Park Hospital is currently seeking new members. The Auxiliary has grown in members and in its support of Highland Park Hospital. Currently, the Auxiliary holds an annual summer event benefiting Kellogg Cancer Center in Highland Park. The event, "Be Part of the CURE", continues to grow as a way for community members to enjoy an evening as we charitably support our local hospital.

ASSIST STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES
|VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED FOR FAITH IN ACTION
Faith in Action Volunteers is looking for individuals interested in helping seniors get to their medical appointments. Volunteers will pick clients up at their home, drive them to their medical appointment, wait while the client is with the doctor, and then drive the client home.
Faith in Action provides secondary insurance as well as educational and training opportunities. Hours are flexible based on each volunteer's availability.
